The Enemy - Glasgow - Love Music - Saturday 10 October 2015 The Enemy cruised into Glasgow for an in-store appearance and signing as part of the promo tour around the release of fourth studio album It’s Automatic. Arriving slightly later than advertised, the lads arrived to a somewhat boisterous Saturday afternoon crowd consisting of young/old, male/female with their appeal appearing to hit the nail on the head for many. |
The set itself could only be described as explosive as the band ripped up the planned three/four tunes and blasted through about seven tracks to the delight of the absolutely packed Love Music. New album title track ‘It’s Automatic’ kicked things off and having never heard the band live before, I was somewhat taken aback at just how good they sounded live (in a record shop). With news of the band being in town spreading the sizeable crowd spilled out into the street with one happy punter even handing in a few cans of Scotland’s finest (Tennent’s) for the band. Having driven up from Coventry, The Enemy were keen to put on a show and smashed it from start to finish as they delivered fan favourites ‘Had Enough’, ‘We'll Live And Die In These Towns’ and ‘Away From Here’ as the enthusiastic audience sang back at the band for all their worth.
Following the signing, I caught up with Tom, Andy and Liam for a quick chat about the new album and Glasgow venues amongst other things.

The Enemy hit Glasgow’s Garage on Thursday 26th November for what promises to be a terrific night with support coming from the top Glasgow band Tijuana Bibles.
